Quantum information of molecular qudits
I investigate molecular qudits—quantum systems with more than two logical states—for quantum information processing and simulation. With Prof. Yuan Liu at NC State, I study how molecular symmetry and internal structure can support useful encodings, and how interactions and environmental noise affect coherence and leakage from the logical subspace.
Quantum Information in chemical reactions
With Prof. Timur V. Tscherbul, I aim to combine scattering and wavepacket calculations with measures from quantum-information theory to resolve how information is redistributed among motional and internal degrees of freedom during chemical reactions.
Quantum information in the coherent control of molecular collisions
With Dr. Adrien Devolder and Prof. Paul Brumer at the University of Toronto, I study how interference between prepared reactant states and constraints from different symmetries can affect collision and reaction outcomes, as well as how to characterize these processes using quantum-information theory.
